Proper Care Of Tire

1. Always follow the tire recommended air inflation pressure:

        a. an under-inflated tire causes the tire to be heavily overloaded causing the carcass to degrade in quality which weakens the casing strength that can lead to tire blo-out upon impact during service.

         b. an under-inflated tire increases the rolling resistance of the tire causing tread to shoulder separation. An increase in rolling resistance increases fuel consumption while greatly reduces the tread life of the tire.

         c. based on the study by Avon Tires of Britain, a 10% under-inflation translates to 15% reduction in the life expectancy of the tire and 2.5% increase in fuel consumption.

2. Check tire air inflation pressure regularly for air loss.
